GUIDELINES ~ should you wish to book a belly dancer:
  1. Think about your event and the kind of atmosphere you would like to create. We are certain you are thinking of having a professional, chic, fun filled performance – where the belly dancer performer is professional in every way and is in professional costumes – not a flea market special.
  2. Pricing: This should be second on your list. Now, when arranging an event, you need to budget for a belly dancer. Remember, you get what you pay for – so don’t just settle for the cheapest, like a R200 belly dancer – odds are, you will be embarrassed, and it most certainly wont be authentic bellydancing you are viewing. Rather pay for services rendered by a reputable belly dance company, like Belly Dance Goddess.

Hosting a successful performance:

  1. Please allow for sufficient space for the belly dancer to perform. We cannot put on a top quality professional performance if you leave us with minimal space, or to dance on a hill top with slopes.
  2. Provide good sound for your audience. Our belly dancer’s will have all their music on a CD (in order) for you to play. Make sure someone is able to play this for the belly dancer.
  3. Should there be a special someone in the audience (a birthday person, bride to be, CEO ect) – please advise us before time, so that we know who they are when the time comes for us to get the crowd up and dancing.
  4. Plan your event so that the belly dancers perform when the guests would enjoy it most (not while they are eating). We would like the guests to be conscientious and encouraging to our performers. You are more than welcome to clap to the music, smile and laugh WITH us. This makes for a spectacular performance.
  5. Let the belly dancer perform ~ and be respectful of her at all times. Please do not grab her, touch her, pull her in any way – should this happen, we will leave and demand full remunerations regardless of whether we were there 2 minutes of 30 minutes.
  6. Be considerate of the belly dancers time, most days we have more than 1 function to attend to and we space our time accordingly. Should you book the dancer at 15.00 pm, the belly dancer will be there approximately 14.45 pm to PERFORM at 15.00 pm. Please do not let her wait. Should she have another function to go to – your performance will be cut short to accommodate the time difference should you start late. Full Payment for the performer will still be charged.
  7. Tipping: It is substantially more authentic and dignified to shower the belly dancer with money, than try and shove it into her costume. It is far more fun and we will be ecstatic.
  8. We do not perform at all male parties, male bachelor parties.
  9. We most certainly do not get onto any tables, chairs ect. Please do not even request this.
  10. You are more than welcome to choose which belly dancer you would like at your event, and we will do everything in our power to make this a reality (unless she is already booked for another function).

You are more than welcome to contact us for a quotation
